Choosing the best service for children: a new Quality Ratings System

The seven quality areas will be assessed using a five-point rating scale.

Each service will get an overall rating and a rating for each of the seven quality areas. This will give families a comprehensive picture of the quality of a service. It will also allow services to highlight their strengths.

All services will be required to prominently display their approval and rating information. Ratings will also be available on the internet.

Five level rating system

    1 Excellent
The service demonstrates excellence and is recognised as a sector leader
