More parents and carers will soon be able to help their children prepare for school, through the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters.
The successful partner organisations that will deliver the program in 2010 have now been announced. Opening these new centres will ensure more children are being supported to become confident learners.
The program runs for two years and provides home-based tutoring, books and other educational materials. It also encourages parents to become their child’s first teacher and will help them give their children the best start in life.
More information about the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters is available on the HIPPY Australia website.
