New Aboriginal Children and Family Centres for SA
Families with young Aboriginal children will have access to improved support services at three new Aboriginal Children and Family Centres in South Australia to be completed by the end of 2012.
The centres will offer education, child care and health services and will provide early childhood development programs for children from birth to age five, and their families.
Government partnerships will deliver new Aboriginal Children and Family Centres at Hincks Avenue Primary School in Whyalla, Ceduna Area School on the West Coast and Christies Beach Primary School in Adelaide. These locations were determined through a local engagement process and local groups will guide the planning and development for the centres and their programs.
These centres are part of the Government's commitment to supporting the needs of Aboriginal children and their families in regional, remote and metropolitan South Australia.
The National Partnership Agreement on Early Childhood Education is now available.
