Child Care News Issue 26, September 2011
In this issue of Child Care News you will find an update on the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) on 1 January 2012 as well as detail about the changes to the Child Care Rebate, which can now be provided as a fortnightly payment direct to a families' bank account or to child care services as an immediate fee reduction. This will help families access more frequent payments, if that suits their needs, by receiving the Child Care Rebate closer to the time child care costs are incurred.
You will also find an update on the most recent Early Learning and Child Care Centres that have opened.
There is also information about the enhancements to the Mychild website including updated vacancy and fee information. You will also be able to read about the introduction of a new Financial Viability Framework to increase financial scrutiny of child care services systems.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is currently looking at new and better ways to communicate with our stakeholders including our education and care services. We will keep you informed of the progress of this work, in the meantime enjoy this edition of Child Care News.
