What is the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters?
HIPPY is a free, two-year home-based program that provides parents with a home tutor, books and
other educational resources to help them prepare their children for school. The program offers
pre-school children a better start in life by helping parents to improve their child's school
readiness.
The program also offers some parents a supported pathway to community leadership and
employment.
For further information about the program, including a list of the areas where the program
will be delivered, visit the HIPPY Australia website.
