What is special child care benefit?

Special Child Care Benefit can pay up to the full cost of child care fees for a limited time if:

• your child is a ‘child at risk’ of serious abuse or neglect
• there is an exceptional case of your family experiencing short term financial hardship where you cannot pay your child care fees.
